Your site works with the directories, not against them

The advice is usually 'get off the directories'. It is wrong, or at least premature. The listing and the site are not rivals; they are two halves of the same funnel.

The directory does one thing well: it puts you in front of men who are already looking. That is reach you have not built yet, and walking away from it early is walking away from your own top of funnel.

What the listing cannot do

It makes you comparable — fifty women on one screen, sorted by whatever the site decides. It cannot set your tier, tell your story, or hold anything private. It is designed to flatten you into a row.

What the site adds

Your own page is where the man who found you on a listing goes to be convinced. It is where you stop being a row and become a person — the screening, the voice, the gallery he is handed rather than one he scrolls past. The listing gets him looking; the site gets him booking.

Use the link deliberately

Point your listing at your site and you turn borrowed reach into an owned first impression. The directory keeps working for you; it just stops being the only thing that does.

Leave the listings when your own front door brings enough people. Not before.

Building the page that converts that traffic is the whole of how we build.

Your name. Your rules. Your own stage.
