What the change actually gives you

You can be more open, not less careful: your working name on things, published rates, a real calendar, payment handled like the business it now plainly is. The women who move first here are years ahead of the ones still working as though the old rules applied.

Clarity is the advantage

Most Brisbane sites still hedge — no calendar, vague language, nothing that commits — out of a caution the law no longer requires. In a decriminalised market, the woman who looks like a professional wins the client who wants one.

Queensland is large and event-driven; a calendar that shows where you will be, and takes a deposit to hold it, turns travel and the event weeks into a booked diary rather than a scramble.
